Painting on Reclaimed Wood, "Orca"
After graduation from SCAD in March 2015, I immediately moved to Washington, and on the day we went out to Alki Beach, I was playing in the water, despite the cold, trying to find stuff to bring home. I didn't even see it until it was right by my leg, but this board floated right up to me. I was so excited, I ran around with it, proudly showing my fiancé. I let it dry for like a month, then I attached a sawtooth hanger to the back. And, since Alki Beach is part of Puget Sound, and the Puget Sound is semi-famous for its orcas, I decided to paint an orca. :3
